2014

In fall 2014 a small group volunteered in the capital, Addis Ababa, and a village north called Emmanuel. These committed individuals volunteered to:

  • Bring supplies to AIDS orphans including school supplies, personal hygiene and small gifts
  • Sewing machines delivered along with material to enable girls to make their own reusable pads
  • Training on intermediate and advanced MS Office for the office staff at People to People
  • Facilitated discussions regarding research on clinical needs in outlying areas

A group was volunteering in Ethiopia in 2006 including a pediatric dentist, a software trainer, a director of occupational health and safety, and a quality improvement specialist.

The group hit the ground running and completed all their goals. A successful trip meant that:

  • Over 750 graduating nurses were taught occupational health and safety and emergency preparedness
